We excavate to the exact specifications of your shell and pour the concrete pad where your equipment will sit. We also install a sump pit to manage groundwater around the shell and reduce ground pressure to prevent cracking over time.

Equipment & Shell Floor Base

We set all equipment on the pad, get the stone delivered, and put in the base for the pool floor. Everything is staged and ready before the shell arrives.

Pool Startup

The shell arrives and goes into the ground. If needed, we coordinate electrical with a trusted partner, complete backfill, and connect the plumbing. Next, we fill the pool with water and start up all the equipment. By early afternoon, the pool is running.

Concrete, Stone & Decking

Pool deck and coping work is coordinated through our trusted concrete partner, Herrmann Construction, a Pittsburgh-based contractor specializing in pool decks.

What does the installation timeline look like from start to finish?

The on-site install typically runs three days. On day one, we excavate and pour the concrete equipment pad. On day two, we set the equipment, get all the stone delivered, and put in the base for the pool floor. On day three, the pool arrives, the shell goes in, and we coordinate the electric with a trusted partner if needed. The pool gets filled with water, we complete the plumbing, and start it up. Some projects may run a day longer, depending on yard access or weather. We give you a realistic schedule before we begin.

Do I need a permit? If so, who is responsible for getting it?

Yes, a permit is required to install an inground pool throughout the Pittsburgh area. The homeowner is responsible for pulling the permit, but we will help you through the process. We can provide documentation, such as dig specs, if you need them for your application. Requirements and timelines vary by municipality, so we recommend starting the permit process as early as possible.

Can a fiberglass pool be installed on a sloped yard?

Do I need to be home during installation?

We coordinate with Herrmann Construction, a Pittsburgh-based contractor who specializes in pool decks. You can also use your own concrete contractor. Either way, we sequence the work so there are no delays between the pool install and the deck pour.
